Summary
You must have got an idea that the length and amount of information covered in this chapter was huge; I had this idea at the beginning of this chapter, that it was going to be a lengthy one. Well in this chapter, we covered all the topics related to Windows Server 2012 clustering, Hyper-V high availability, and mobility and migration of virtual machines. We started this chapter with an overview of Hyper-V high availability, in which we first discussed the challenges we faced with the pre-Windows Server 2012 release of Microsoft Clustering Services and Microsoft Hyper-V for building virtual machine high availability and migration features. Then, we looked at the new promising features of Windows Server 2012 and Hyper-V for virtual machine high availability and mobility where we highlighted the few of them that drastically changed the way we mobilize our virtual machines and migrate them, whenever needed, within our Hyper-V virtualized environment.
