Configuring vRealize Log Insight for NSX

In this recipe, we will configure vRealize Log Insight to ingest and provide meaningful analysis of NSX log data. This will be in the form of predefined Log Insight dashboards and via structured query data for troubleshooting purposes.

Getting ready

You will need to have the following access and configurations present before proceeding with this recipe:

  • vRealize Log Insight has been deployed. For step-by-step instructions on how to deploy vRealize Log Insight, watch the YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lg03i_pGtdo.
  • If your vRealize Log Insight is not connected to the internet, you will need to manually download the VMware NSX for vSphere .vlcp content pack file and import it to the vRealize.

Note

The VMware NSX for the vSphere .vlcp content pack file can be downloaded from the VMware Solution Exchange Marketplace (https://marketplace.vmware.com/vsx/solutions/nsx-for-vsphere-content-pack-v3).
