Exporting charts

Charts can be exported to many formats, where the chart exports as an image, data, or both an image and data. Charts are exported by accessing the File Menu | Export | Section. The Export Section window appears with the ability to name the file and select the type of the file to create. The two common formats for exporting charts are the .jpg or the .mhtml format. The .jpg format creates and image of the chart and the .mhtml format creates a Microsoft Office HTML document. When the .mhtml document is opened in Excel, the data from the chart displays in a pivot on the first tab of the file and the chart image displays on a second tab. Exporting the file in Microsoft Excel format will only display the data from the chart in Microsoft Excel format and not the chart image. Other less common chart export options include HTML and PDF.
