Summary
In this chapter, we introduced three important SOAR tools and guided you through the SOAR elements of the tools themselves. We introduced Microsoft Sentinel SOAR, hosted in Microsoft Azure, which is fully integrated into Microsoft Sentinel SIEM. Microsoft Sentinel is a cloud-native solution, and as such, there is no version for local infrastructure.
The second tool was Splunk SOAR, and we used a local infrastructure version of the solution, although it is also available as a cloud option. The third solution, and again, only available in the cloud, is Google Chronicle SOAR, which is hosted on GCP.
While there are a few other popular solutions, such as Palo Alto SOAR, most of the functionalities are similar to the ones already covered. This should not remove the need to explore even deeper on your own.
The next chapter will dive deep into Microsoft Sentinel automation, which we demonstrate use cases for in Chapters 6 to 8.
