Summary

In this chapter, we went from using the CBM heat maps uncovered during the discovery and analysis of your organizational capabilities to digging deeper into understanding what optimizations and improvements in processes and data are required for the TOM of an intelligent enterprise. Furthermore, we understood the data challenges and the platform characteristics to enable data democratization across your organization, and the constructs to build intelligent insights to drive outcomes per your transformation objectives. We then considered the architectural best practices for extending processes or data with intelligent workflows, how the AI fabric allows for processes to be self-driven, self-healing, and self-governing, and how the choices of cloud-native extensions on hyperscalers with your SAP landscape can be made as you transform your business. The whole approach requires small incremental changes to address the capabilities of a business and technical architecture.
