Conventions used
There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.
Code in text
: Indicates code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles. Here is an example: “Let’s create the .github/workflows/main.yml
file and the initial code.”
A block of code is set as follows:
name: CI/CD on: - push jobs: # add jobs here
When we wish to draw your attention to a particular part of a code block, the relevant lines or items are set in bold:
jobs: # previous jobs e2e: name: E2E Tests runs-on: ubuntu-latest steps: - uses: actions/checkout@v3 - run: mv .env.example .env - uses: cypress-io/github-action@v4 with: build: npm run build start: npm run start
Any command-line input or output is written as follows:
git clone https://github.com/PacktPublishing/React-Application-Architecture-for-Production.git
Bold: Indicates a new term, an important word, or words that you see on screen. For instance, words in menus or dialog boxes appear in bold. Here is an example: “When the user clicks the Apply button, the email client is opened with the correctly set subject.”
