Working in layers
The Prezi canvas is made up of an infinite number of layers. While you cannot see the layers themselves, all elements (frames, images, texts, and everything else) on the canvas are actually placed in a separate layer. Consequently, all elements are in their own layer.
Working in layers is very much like creating a layered cake; the first element (frames, images, texts, and everything else) you add is placed in the bottom layer, the next one is placed in the layer above the first one, and so forth.
If two or more elements are placed in their own area of the canvas, we cannot see the layering. However, try placing an element in the exact same area as an existing element and you will notice that one element is on top of the other (fully or partially). The element on top will be the one that was inserted at a later point in time than the element below it (much like the icing on top of the cake that comes on last).
