KDE Plasma edition and settings
The KDE Plasma environment is famous for having the richest settings. Manjaro KDE 23.0.0 comes with Plasma 5.27.5. Let’s take a look at it.
KDE is an extensive ecosystem – apart from the Plasma desktop, it provides an application-building framework, toolkits, and many native applications (one more reason why it is rich!). Hence, the documentation for the whole project also includes tutorials on its many applications. The primary location is the Tutorials section (https://userbase.kde.org/Tutorials) of the KDE UserBase (https://userbase.kde.org/Welcome_to_KDE_UserBase). To start, let’s take a look at the default notification and control icons on the main menu bar, as shown in Figure 3.17:
