Why you should balance a tactical and an organic approach
Before moving into the mechanism and practicalities of enterprise planning and adoption, I would like to go back again to the concept of speed. (I am sorry, and I cannot help it, speeds are everywhere.) Two terms and corresponding approaches that I repeatedly use in my career, while balancing them effectively, are the tactical planning and adoption approach and the organic planning and adoption approach. The following are the definitions in our DevOps evolution context:
