Chapter 4: Master Data in SAP TMS

Master data in SAP TMS is the most important data if we wish to execute effective and successful transportation planning in SAP TMS. It forms the basis of efficiently planning the transportation and tender carrier to fulfill and ship products on time. Having incorrect master data set up will lead to incorrect transportation planning, which will result in missed deliveries and will impact the customer's shipments. Therefore, it is very important to understand the data aspect and the settings required in the SAP TMS system to run the Order to Cash cycle successfully. Having said that, you should have a good understanding of these data elements and how they work in SAP TMS. In this chapter, we will focus on the master data's setup and configuration in SAP TMS.
