The easy fixes
In most cases, these fixes require only one or two mouse clicks. The rule of thumb is that the easy fixes are most likely to solve the problem.
Quitting Final Cut Pro and restarting the computer
It is surprising how many issues can be resolved by simply restarting the computer. My go-to choice is to quit Final Cut Pro, shut down, and then reboot the computer after a minute or so.
Deleting the render files
Things don’t come much simpler than this. Select the library in the Browser sidebar. From the File menu, select Delete Generated Library Files….

You will be presented with a window with options. The one thing I need to reassure you of at this point is that you cannot lose any original media or any of your work in projects by following this process – it is completely safe. In fact, Final Cut Pro never, in any circumstances, deletes original media...
