The data dictionary captures all the metadata for your project, and defines the information which will be presented to the business.

How to do it...
Creating your data dictionary early in the project allows you to socialize the project, understanding the information required by the business. This relays not only the understanding of the requirements but also the definition of the information gathered from the business. The data dictionary is a key as it will be used as an asset to define and describe information contained within the solution. This will not only be used for the project but will also be used throughout the existence of the solution:
