Azure can be complex and there is a myriad of different options to implement Azure components. This book expertly provides clarity on understanding the purpose of different Azure components and their different configurations. Technical theory and technical reference is followed by step-by-step instructions on developing actual solutions using the Azure components. As you follow along the step-by-step instructions, you will create, configure, and write actual code. As it covers a wide range of Azure components, it’s a good reference for developers of all skill levels, and it’s a good reference for architects who need high level insight into Azure components combined with the know-how of developing Azure based solutions.

I received a couple of new books at my doorstep last week. This one on Azure development was the one I was most excited about. I've worked with Azure for a number of years, but I'm not in there daily. This title targeting .NET developers is the perfect learning resource and reference for me.Everybody who uses one of the big cloud providers knows that services and portals are constantly changing. It's hard to keep up. This book from Packt should keep me in the know for a while. You can check out the table to contents to see what's covered, but some of my favorite parts are the chapters on:Docker containers - New to me. I'm late to the party here, I know.Dapr - I'd love to see more content on Dapr.Cosmos DB - Great chapter that covers the CLI, the .NET SDK and general Cosmos concepts.Event Hubs - Another excellent chapter that covers the basics and gets pretty deep on the topic. There's lots of other great stuff on cloud DBs, messaging, security, etc too. I'd recommend this book for .NET developers, whether you're new to Azure or have been using it for a while and want to catch up on some of the latest services.
