Customizing date/time formats
Every region of the world displays times and dates differently. In America, dates are written in the month, day, year format—such as January 14, 2021—while in other parts of the world, dates may be written in the year, month, day format – such as 2021, January 14.
The same holds with time. Some people prefer a 24-hour time format, such as 13:25, while others prefer a 12-hour format, such as 1:25 P.M. However you prefer to see the date and time, you can change the format from the default setting.
To customize the format of date and time, follow these steps:
- Tap the Settings icon on the Home screen.
- Tap General.
- Tap Date & Time. The Date & Time screen appears, as shown in Figure 3.15:
