This final section will discuss an alternative to word processors. Word processors are WYSIWYG, which stands for What You See Is What You Get; in other words, what you see on the screen is essentially what you'll see in the finished product.
One alternative that we will discuss here is document processors. While they tend to look similar to word processors, document processors emphasize the layout of the document's components, rather than formatting text. In other words, document processors are WYSIWYMÂ (What You See Is What You Mean). With these programs, what is seen on the screen is not representative of how the final product will look.
