I hope this chapter has brought to light the importance of writing in instructional design. If after reading this chapter, you’ve self-assessed that you’re already a great writer, congratulations! You need now only continue the good work.

For many people, at least some of the writing for instructional design concepts we’ve covered in this chapter will be new. The great news is that you now have the knowledge and resources to build your ID writing competency before continuing in your career and making these common mistakes (like most of us do!). Remember, writing can comprise up to 80% of a given ID project, so bravo to you for proactively honing your skills.
