Summary
This was the last chapter about financial operations in multi-cloud. We've discussed budgets and cost management, and in this chapter, we explored the billing options in the different clouds. We've learned that in all clouds, we need to have a billing account and an associated billing profile so that we view costs that are related to our projects or the whole enterprise. We've looked at the consoles of Azure, AWS, and GCP to find out where we can manage settings for billing and cost management in these clouds. After completion of this chapter, we should have an understanding of the billing process itself, but also of how can we validate costs. In the last section, we discovered that there are tools that can make our lives easier by providing one single dashboard where we can have a total overview of all our costs in the clouds.
The next part of this book will discuss security in multi-cloud, starting with defining security policies.
