Planning and Configuring IB Policies
IBs in Microsoft 365 allow you to restrict communication and visibility between specific departments or individuals. This is particularly useful if there are groups within your organization that must not communicate or see each other in search results, such as when a legal firm has two teams representing different parties involved in the same case.
To set up IB policies, you must use PowerShell commands through Microsoft Purview. To do this, you need to be assigned one of the following administrative roles:
- Global Administrator
- Compliance Administrator
