Configuring the terrain brushes


In the Shaping the terrain recipe, we saw how to use the five brushes to sculpt the terrain and the different results of each one of them. However, we are not limited to the standard values used in each brush because Lumion allows us to change two settings to help us sculpt the terrain. This control is useful when we need to add details at a small or large scale.

Getting ready

Use a proxy of your building as a reference in the scene so that you can focus your attention just on the terrain.

How to do it…

Adjusting the settings of each brush is really easy; you just need to perform the following steps:

  1. Select the Landscape menu to activate the Height menu with the brushes.

  2. For this tutorial, select the Raise brush.

  3. Next to the brush icons, you can find the Brush Speed and Brush Size values used, as you can see in the following screenshot:

  4. The top bar is the brush speed and the bottom bar is the brush size.
