In this chapter, we have opened the door to hundreds of additional data sources that live externally to our PowerApp. This is truly where the power of a connected app can be established, as you can retrieve data from multiple sources, as well as write data back (depending on the connection).
In this chapter, we looked at the built-in connectors that are provided by Microsoft so that we can connect to over 250 different sources of data. We have also broken down these connectors into two distinct groups: standard connectors, which are available with a standard Office 365 license, and premium connectors, which require us to have a minimum of PowerApps Plan 1 before we can use them. Many of these premium connectors will require you to have licenses with the service provider so that you can use them.
As well as being able to use built-in connectors, we have the ability to create our own so that we can connect to any data source that has an API. These are known as custom connectors...
