Enrich your articles with custom fields
For years, since the first release of Joomla, there have been many extensions in the market to enrich or replace the standard article management system, with some extensions called Content Construction Kit (CCK). These CCK extensions allowed administrators to set up additional fields for the articles or content items. So, for several years, many Joomla users adopted such CCKs to manage their content instead of using the standard Article component. The most used CCK extensions were K2, DPFields, Seblod, and FlexiContent. Let’s start with understanding what custom fields are.
What is a custom field?
A custom field allows adding additional capabilities to the content. For example, let’s consider a website of recipes, where each recipe is an article.
