Surely, the preceding statements are common sense, but what does the world say about them? In order to find out, let's take a look at a survey taken by RightScale in their State of the Cloud report in 2017.Â
The survey was conducted with over 1000 people working in several industry segments and size of companies, and the survey yielded the following (among other things):Â
The inferences from the preceding survey are:
- Almost every one (95%) is using the cloud in some form
- Only 5% of the people are using private cloud onlyÂ
- Only 22% of the people are using public cloud only
- 67% of the people are using hybrid cloud (combination of public and private)
