When developing applications for mobile phones, you will need knowledge of Swift (for iOS) or Java (for Android). For computer vision in the browser, you will require knowledge of JavaScript. The examples in this chapter are simple and thoroughly explained, making it easy to understand for developers who are more familiar with Python.

Moreover, to run the example iOS app, you will need a compatible device as well as a Mac computer with Xcode installed. To run the Android app, you will need an Android device.

Benjamin obtained his Ph.D. summa cum laude from the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Passau, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Harald Kosch. He also has a double master's degree from INSA-Lyon (France) and the University of Passau (Germany), with first-class honors and a multinational excellence award. He also likes sharing his knowledge and experience on various platforms or applying them to the creation of aesthetic demos.
