Adding a new virtual network adapter to a virtual machine
You can add an additional virtual network adapter to a virtual machine. Such a need is dictated by the purpose of the virtual machine.
In this recipe we will learn how to add a new virtual network adapter to a VM.
How to do it...
The following procedure explains how to add an new virtual network adapter to a VM:
Navigate to the VM and Templates inventory view, select and right-click on the VM to which you intend to add a virtual network adapter (vNIC), and then click on Edit Settings.
Use the New device option available at the Edit Settings window, select Network as the device option, and then click on Add.
A New Network entry for the adapter is available on the settings page. Use the drop-down box next to the New Network to select a port group, and then click on OK to confirm the settings.
