Setting up your project
When you launch UE for the first time, the Unreal Project Browser window will open. This browser lets you choose a template file that will act as the starting point for your project.
Follow these steps to get started:
- Since we are making a 3D movie, select the FILM / VIDEO & LIVE EVENTS tab.
- Inside that menu, select Blank as the template.
- Under the Project Defaults heading, uncheck Starter Content.
- Choose a project location and project name – this will be saved on your local hard disk.
- Once you have set up your project template, you are ready to start working in UE5. Click on CREATE to close this menu and launch the UE5 Editor.
