Deleting images and videos

When you no longer want to keep an item, delete it. If you change your mind, you can even recover a deleted item right away. By deleting images and videos, you can make sure your iPhone never runs out of storage.

To delete an image or video, follow these steps:

1. Select the image or video you want to delete.
2. Tap the delete icon (see Figure 7.40). A Delete and Cancel button appear at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap Delete (or Cancel).

If you delete an image or video by mistake, you can retrieve that item because the iPhone stores all deleted items in a special Recently Deleted album.

To retrieve a previously deleted image or video, follow these steps:

1. Tap the Photos app icon on the Home Screen.
2. Tap the Albums icon at the bottom of the screen.
3. Scroll down and tap the Recently Deleted album, as shown in Figure 7.42:
