Upgrade the project to Spring Boot 3
In this recipe, we’ll take the first steps in Spring Boot 3 by updating the references in our project. When we update to Spring Boot 3, we’ll see some compilation errors that need to be addressed; in this recipe, we’ll take the first steps toward fixing them.
Spring Boot 3 depends on Jakarta EE 9 or a later version, while Spring Boot relies on Jakarta 7 and 8. In Jakarta 9, all namespaces changed from javax.* to jakarta.*. This is probably the biggest impact that can be seen when upgrading to Spring Boot 3, as it requires changing many references in our projects.
