Technical requirements

There’s no need to make a character from scratch – Blender Studio has provided a professionally-made character for anyone to download and use.

This character’s name is Rain:

Rain comes ready to animate, with all of the features that professional animators expect in a human character rig but designed to be friendly to novice animators as well. Rain is licensed under a Creative Commons CC-BY license, which means that we can use her for any purpose in our works, so long as we give credit to the Blender Foundation, like so:

To get started, use the preceding URL to download the .zip file for Rain, and unpack the contents to a convenient place in your filesystem.

When unpacking the .zip file...
