Heading, weight, and balance
Let’s review the remaining animation channels for Seat
that need our attention:
- X Euler Rotation makes the unicycle seat unicycle rock back and forth, which is necessary for conveying weight and balance as the unicycle moves backward and forward.
- Y Euler Rotation makes the unicycle lean left and right. As the unicycle turns right from frame
120
to150
, we want it to lean rightward. - Z Euler Rotation turns the unicycle, determining its heading (or at least what ought to be its heading). We animated this one a bit already from frame
120
to150
but it needs adjustment.
For our unicycle to show convincing balance, weight, and direction, all of these channels will need to be animated and/or have their animation corrected in the Graph Editor. Exactly how we animate them will depend on a careful study of the existing motion that we’ve already created.
