Understanding the Transformation 2D node, the Levels node, and the grayscale height values

There are a couple of nodes we need to know about before learning about blending modes because these nodes are frequently used in combination with Blend nodes and other Library nodes that we studied in Chapter 8, Nodes in Adobe Substance 3D Designer.

Transformation 2D

The first node I would like to explain is called the Transformation 2D atomic node. The Transformation 2D node enables the scaling, rotation, tiling, and alteration of input proportions. It is comparable to utilizing Photoshop’s transform tool (Ctrl + T/Command + T).

This node, which may be stretched or squashed, can increase tiling, remove tiling, position an image in a precise location, and do other helpful operations. However, it might not be a great fit for all applications, therefore the Safe Transform, Non-Square Transform, Quad Transform, and Trapezoid Transform nodes might be of interest.
