Important considerations and best practices
When embedding Power BI reports within your app, there are a number of important items to consider. What follows are some key areas for you to be aware of:
- Ensure appropriate access: Both Power Apps and Power BI have requirements around who can access the applications. Because Power BI is separate from Power Apps, you need to ensure that any users of your Power App who need to view the Power BI visuals have the appropriate access and any required licenses.
- Optimize report performance: When embedding the full Power BI reports into your app, it is a best practice to ensure that your Power BI report is optimized for performance. Optimizing Power BI reports is beyond the scope of this book.
