Creating a Team from an Existing Microsoft 365 Group, SharePoint Site, or Team
Creating a team in Microsoft Teams using existing organizational assets can be done by leveraging Microsoft 365 groups, SharePoint Online sites, or other existing teams. There are some restrictions for creating teams from existing groups, including the following:
- The group must not have more than 10,000 members
- The group must not have been created through Viva Engage
