Introduction
Since its initial release back in 2012, Microsoft released various updates for the product, each of which not only fixed shortcomings and bugs in the software, but also introduced new features.
A total of three major releases for System Center Service Manager 2012 exist. They are:
- Service Manager 2012
- Service Manager 2012 SP1
- Service Manager 2012 R2
For Service Manager 2016, there has only been one release at the time of writing. For each major release, there were several minor releases made publicly available, commonly referred to as Update Rollup (UR).
