The first few chapters of this book were focused on understanding AD DS and its capabilities. This chapter is different from those as it was more focused on implementation of AD DS. In the first part of the chapter, we saw the implementation of domain controllers to different identity infrastructures. The second part of the chapter was focused on AD DS migration from an older version of AD DS to AD DS 2016. There, we understood what we need to consider with respect to a domain migration project and what steps to follow. We also looked at the migration life cycle and what is covered in each stage. Last but not the least, we learnt how to migrate from AD DS 2012 R2 to AD DS 2016.
In the next chapter, we are going to learn about managing Active Directory objects.
