Making friends!

At the moment, you will be feeling quite lonely in your site, because you don't have any friends! The Mahara friends feature allows you to find other people in the site that you would like to connect with. Being someone's friend allows you to do a couple of important things. Firstly, all your friends show up in your profile. This is a great way of being able to quickly and easily find all the people in the Mahara site that you regularly contact. Secondly, you can assign page access only to your friends. This is useful, if you only want people you know to be able to see one of the pages you have created (as an alternative to making it publicly available or available to all logged-in users, for example).

Some people like to think of friends in Mahara as contacts. They are all the people you want to connect with in the learning environment and the people who you are likely to exchange messages with.

So, how do you find friends and add them to your network?
