International project
A common project in a grammar school is one that involves studying another country. Students pick the country they wish to study, and then complete a research project on what they've learned. The projects often conclude with an International Day, where students wear the folk costumes of their chosen country, offer some of the ethnic food, and so on.
This recipe presents one way that a student could complete their project using Mahara. With a little tweaking, this recipe can be used for any number of projects, from science projects, to history projects and more. In the end, the student will have actually created a website on their chosen topic one that can be shared publically. What a wonderful way to display their hard work!
This recipe is for an upper level student. It is more difficult than many of the other recipes in this chapter. It also includes a banner which, while fun to do, can certainly be excluded from the recipe.
