Configuring materials
As mentioned, Lumion has more than 500 materials on hand and generally this is more than adequate. Still, Lumion is a very flexible application, and for this reason, you are not fixed with just these materials. We have the opportunity to use our own textures to create other materials. This recipe is not going to show you all the settings that you can use to tweak the material; instead, we are going to focus on how we can replace and adjust an outside texture.
Getting ready
To begin, it is essential that you have a 3D model imported in Lumion so that you can add some materials, and don't forget to have some textures ready to be applied to the model.
Also, you need two types of textures. The first one is called Diffuse, and in plain English, it is the image file with color information; the second one is called Normalmap, and you will recognize them as these textures have a purple/blue color.
