In this chapter, we covered the baby steps required to understand the IoT offerings from Salesforce, and how Einstein will add Artificial Intelligence capabilities to make the IoT Cloud intelligent. Apache Kafka is an open source framework that allows us to build real-time event streaming and processing applications. Salesforce IoT Cloud leverages Spark, Apache Kafka, and Storm and Einstein PredictionIO framework leverages Spark as well, so this means that we can expect some greater machine learning capabilities baked into IoT Cloud.
In the next chapter, we will briefly touch upon how one can test the accuracy of machine learning applications.
