Summary
In this chapter, we learned what a layer mask is and how to create one. We also learned how to make a layer mask using selection tools to save time. We then learned about the benefits of using layer masks in comparison with eraser tools. We also used screentone materials and created simple tones by using selections and layer masks.
To finish off the chapter, we learned how to use a clipping layer to combine screentones with grayscale.
In the next chapter, we are going to learn all about the ruler tools that make Clip Studio Paint a truly powerful piece of art software. You won’t worry about creating accurate angles and perspectives anymore. Keep reading to learn more!
