Summary
In this chapter, we explored the advanced content management features of Joomla, understood what custom fields are, and learned how to create them and organize custom fields in groups. We went through the scheduled publishing options to automate the publication and the featuring status of articles. We have explored the Workflow features and built a custom publishing workflow for an online magazine website. At the end of the chapter, we discovered the built-in tools to improve the readability and accessibility of the website content.
In the next chapter, we will discover another key concept of Joomla: Modules. We will see what they are, for which purpose they are used, and how to build a custom backend dashboard thanks to Modules.
