Digital Sobriety principles
In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital technology, the notion of Digital Sobriety emerged as a critical response to the burgeoning digital footprint and its environmental repercussions. Traced back to 2008, the term was coined by the Green IT France association, marking a pivotal moment in the recognition of the need for a more restrained and environmentally conscious approach to digital services. Digital Sobriety calls upon every facet of society – be it individuals, businesses, or organizations that consume digital services, as well as those that design, develop, and provide these digital products and services – to partake in a collective effort toward minimizing the ecological impact of our digital existence.
