You may have thought that to allow others to access information within the ERP system is a lot of work to build and set up. Through this chapter, you have seen that the Customer self-service portal that you get with Dynamics AX is not that hard to configure, and you can quickly set it up and let customers use it.

In addition to what we showed in this chapter, there are other features within the Customer self-service portal that you may want to try taking advantage of. If you want to dig in deeper, try:

  • Formatting your descriptions through the HTML designer within the product groups presentation editor

  • Adding images and descriptions to the group nodes as well as the item nodes in the product catalog

  • Creating other root product catalogs for the highlighted campaigns and start pages of the self-service portal
