Summary

In this chapter, you learned that Adobe Learning Manager features a comprehensive skills manager. Thanks to this feature, organizations can align skills to courses and track the skills available in the organization. As for learners, they can use skills to better select the courses they want to enroll in. A handful of skills are available by default in Adobe Learning Manager, but you can also define your own custom skills and assign them to courses.

You also reviewed the options for creating courses. A course can be a simple list of self-paced asynchronous modules. A course can also contain face-to-face or virtual synchronous instructor-led classes, as well as various types of activity modules such as external URLs, file submissions, and checklists. Prework and Testout modules, as well as Job Aids and other Resources, can also be added to courses. All these options make it possible to implement a wide range of instructional design strategies using Adobe Learning Manager.
