Managing instructor-led Face-to-face or Virtual Classes
When self-paced modules, such as video files, PDF documents, SCORM packages, and so on, are used in a Prime course, they require very little further human intervention. Learners can review these modules at their own convenience, quizzes are graded automatically, and their results are automatically reported back to Prime, with success and completion criteria being evaluated by the system. All in all, Captivate Prime is able to deliver and track these course modules almost entirely on its own.
Instructor-led courses, on the other hand, require a lot more logistics. Whether face-to-face or virtual, these types of activities are known as synchronous activities. This means that the instructor and the learners are present at the same time in a classroom or lecture hall, or connected to the same conference call or virtual classroom environment. Obviously, this raises scheduling concerns, but that's not all:
