Using the Redis key-value store

Redis is the most commonly used key-value store. The vibe.d framework has built-in support for Redis that you can use to provide persistent storage for the note application. Installing Redis

The source code of Redis is available at http://redis.io/. After downloading and unpacking the source file, you can change over to the source directory and type the following command to build Redis on Unix-like operating systems:

$ make

Most Linux distributions offer a Redis package that you can use. Let's take a look at how you can install Redis on a few other operating systems:

  • On Ubuntu/Debian, type the following to install Redis:
    $ sudo apt-get install redis-server
