What was your career in before you made the switch to cybersecurity?

My career started in the police, and that's where I am today. Actually, I was assigned to the Cyber Crime Department, because of my academic and personal studies, but that was not my choice.

Tell us about your journey transitioning from your primary career to cybersecurity.

I studied at the Police Academy and Computer Education and Instructional Technologies Department (at Gazi University, Turkey) simultaneously. My career started in the Turkish National Police in the IT Department in 2006. I worked at that department as an office supervisor. My responsibilities were managing all the infrastructure, including Active Directory, the network, the firewall, and so on. I was also attending basic computer skills courses for police officers...
