Navigation paths
We can use navigation paths in BO-reporting tools to navigate from upper levels of a hierarchy to the lower levels (drill down) or from lower to upper levels (drill up). For example, a typical branch hierarchy could contain country, state/province, city, and branch names. A navigation path is defined by a set of dimensions with a specific order. The order is very important and should be as expected by the end user, because the navigation path will flow from the higher dimension in the hierarchy to the lower dimensions.
Tip
Navigation paths can use dimensions only in their definition. Attribute objects are not allowed.
Navigation paths can be based on the dimensions order inside folders (the default navigation path) or customized by the BO developer/designer.
