Construction detailing in Archicad
Up until now, the models we have developed were rather rough in terms of construction detailing. Overall, most of the 3D model will probably not be developed further than necessary for a scale of 1:50, perhaps with some minor aspects on a higher scale. However, to be able to construct a building on site as it was designed, the contractor will often need additional construction detail drawings to explain the configuration of masonry, concrete columns and beams, steel and wood frames, cross-laminated timber, and so on that is used in the design. Instead of adding every small detail for the whole model in 3D, Archicad provides several methods to refine parts of the model at a more detailed scale.
