Displaying the inventory

The final step in using an inventory is to display it to the player. This is done on the GUI with icons, images, or with the 3D model. The icon can either be a scaled down image of the item, or it can be a silhouette of the item to represent it. An example showing the 3D model of the item can be seen in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, where the player can select the item in their inventory and interact with the 3D model to look at it.
