Preparing For Action: The Data and Analytics Maturity Model
I have three daughters. As they were growing up, the technology around them was too. My oldest was a VHS kid, and she watched Disney movies over and over again on tapes that would lose quality over time. My middle daughter was a DVD kid, and she was able to not only watch Disney movies over and over again, she was able to watch individual scenes with a simple click back to the DVD Menu. There are certain songs from some of those movies that haunt me to this day due to excessive repetition. I would bet many of you share my experience.
My youngest, though, has been raised on smartphones and tablets. She barely has any concept of needing a special physical piece of media, or special equipment to play that media. She doesn’t even require a separate TV screen to watch the display that is generated from the special equipment - in her mind, she can just stream whatever she wants to watch on whatever device she...
